BANGI MP Dr Ong Kian Ming has announced that lawyer and DAP social media bureau chairman Syahredzan Johan (pic) will be his representative for the constituency in the run-up to GE15.
“Bangi is a big constituency with almost 300,000 voters.
“Syahredzan is a good candidate to represent me and it will be good for him to get to know the areas including Balakong, Kajang and Sungai Ramal.
“We will work together to tackle the issues, and Syahredzan will help us to manage any complaints and requests for aid.
“Until Parliament is dissolved and I am no longer the MP for Bangi, the party can decide who will replace me as a candidate for Bangi,” Dr Ong told reporters on Wednesday (June 22) at Sungai Chua Recreational Park in Kajang.
Syahredzan, 39, who is DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang’s political secretary and whose father is the renowned journalist Tan Sri Johan Jaaffar, from Johor, expressed his thanks to Ong and the party.
“This is a learning curve for me. Where else to learn than in Bangi which has a diverse group of people?” he said.
