IF you are a Johorean, chances are you would know about Meisan Szechuan Restaurant. The good news is, Meisan has reopened at Berjaya Waterfront Hotel.
The restaurant, which used to be housed in Hotel Mutiara Johor Baru, has a 35-year history in Johor. It had to close its doors when the hotel ceased operations.

Meisan CEO Datuk Anson Loo recently announced that the restaurant has retained its crew led by the popular Mr Wong, with original chef Heng Yee Sing helming the kitchen to ensure that diners enjoy authentic classic Sichuan cuisine.
Not only will diners get to savour pork-free and lard-free fare, they will be pampered with an enhanced east-meets-west menu.
Meisan at Berjaya Waterfront Hotel is now having its Ramadan buffet at the hotel’s grand ballroom, offering a menu of Chinese and Malay traditional dishes crafted by the Meisan team. The buffet is priced at RM120 net for adults, while children get to eat at RM60 net.

There is also the Ramadan set menu available upon request, up to 10 pax per table.
For customers who prefer private dining space, Meisan has VIP rooms at the restaurant on level five.

Loo said that Meisan at Berjaya Waterfront Hotel is the first branch in the new era.
The flagship Meisan restaurant will open at Puteri Cove in Iskandar Puteri later this year.
Construction of the flagship restaurant will begin in May this year, and expected to be completed in August.
The design of the flagship restaurant will be all glass to give diners scenic views as backdrop for their culinary experience.
The Meisan team has plans to develop the Puteri Cove Yacht Club, adjacent to Meisan Szechuan Restaurant at Puteri Harbour.
You can sail right up to the harbour, berth and dine at Meisan at Puteri Cove.
