SHOPPERS are looking at stocking up on lots of bak kwa (jerky) this festive season, with slow sales of gift hampers reported in Penang this year.

Along a row of festive stalls in Perak Road, bak kwa stall owner Chan Chun Ming, 42, expressed surprise at the steady stream of customers.
