DISTRIBUTION of basic necessities to 7,000 families, who were in dire straits after their breadwinners lost their jobs amid the Covid-19 pandemic, has helped in easing their burden.

Welfare, Arts, Culture, Safety and Sports Association (P5KKP) chairman R. Sivaneswaran, 46, said the association, along with seven non-governmental organisations (NGOs) banded together to provide food aid to the target groups that truly needed help to sustain their families with basic food supplies.
