THE PENANG local government, housing, town and country planning committee has applied for a RM135mil allocation from the Federal Government for upgrading projects at existing housing schemes next year.

Its chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo said the amount requested was small compared to the RM7bil tax the state pays to the Government.
