AFTER months of closure, The Top@Komtar in Penang has reopened five of its attractions and is ready for guests again.
Tan Sri Richard Koh, chief executive officer of Only World Group Holdings Bhd which manages The Top@Komtar, said they would be operating only from Friday to Sunday weekly.
The five attractions which reopened on Oct 8 were the Rainbow Skywalk, Jurassic Research Centre, The Top Boutique Aquarium, Penang State Gallery and Durian King of Fruits Gallery.
“We will maintain all safety and health measures in line with the current standard operating procedures (SOP).
“All our staff are fully vaccinated and we hold mandatory temperature checks daily so that only healthy staff are on duty.
“On the visitors’ side, we are limiting admissions to only 50% capacity at any one time at our premises to ensure families can enjoy themselves without worry,” he said when contacted on Wednesday.
The Top@Komtar operations director Kevin Lai said while they were ready to welcome visitors, only fully vaccinated guests were allowed to enter the premises.
“Those who wish to visit us must observe the required period after their second dose before they are allowed to enter.
“We will check the visitors’ MySejahtera details and screen their temperature before they are allowed entry.”
Lai said The Top@Komtar would open from noon to 8pm on Fridays to Sundays, except during school and public holidays, until further notice.
“The Rainbow Skywalk and our Top View Restaurant & Lounge are open on Fridays to Sundays from noon to 10pm.
“At our theme park, we will also maintain a 50% capacity.
“All our safety and operations SOP will be reviewed from time to time according to the latest regulations by the government.”
Currently, The Top@Komtar is offering a ‘Family Fun Day Rewards’ package worth RM1,054 for a family of two adults and two children at a price of RM400.
“This package includes unlimited entry to all attractions and our Tapaulah lunch for the family of four.
“This is our way of showing our appreciation to visitors for their trust and support during these challenging times and we hope to welcome guests again soon.”
