Selangor government has expanded its Smart Selangor Bus (BSS) services to cover more vaccination centres (PPV) in the state.
The initiative, done through the local authorities and in collaboration with the bus operator, now covers 23 PPVs compared to the 11 during its trial phase.
“We are doing this in an effort to increase the capacity of vaccine recipients in Selangor and work towards achieving herd immunity,” said Selangor local government, public transport and new village development committee chairman Ng Sze Han in a statement.
“The routes will be temporarily amended to meet current needs and will run until the end of PPV operations.”
Ng said this gave the public an option to take public transport to receive their vaccination, especially those who do not have their own vehicles.
