MORE than half of new Covid-19 cases in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya on Thursday (July 15) were detected through mass screening of individuals who were in close contact with positive patients, says Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa.
He said in a statement on Friday (July 16) that based on data gathered by the Federal Territories Covid-19 Crisis Management Centre, 54% of the cases were from close contacts.
