FIVE boats and three vehicles are among the assets that will be deployed by the central Seberang Prai Civil Defence Force (APM) in Penang for flood operations in the district.

Some 70 members from the district headquarters will also be on standby for the first hour if there is a flash flood reported in the district following the inter-monsoon shift.
