A FREE bus service is being offered to those in the Ayer Hitam constituency to make it easier for them to get their Covid-19 vaccination.
The bus service, with pick-up points throughout the constituency, will pick up and drop off people at the vaccination centre in Batu Pahat.
Ayer Hitam MP Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, who is also Transport Minister, has shared a video on Facebook to encourage people to sign up for the vaccination.
In the video, Semarang assemblyman Samsol Bari Jamali speaks in Javanese to explain more about the programme and encourage people to get the vaccine.
Dr Wee said the free bus service was for residents from Yong Peng and Ayer Hitam, all the way to the vaccination centre in Batu Pahat.
He also told followers that he too had received the shot and there was nothing to worry about as he was still healthy and had no severe side effects.
“I encourage the public to register for the vaccine via MySejahtera app, or any other method of registration, including at the service centres of elected representatives.
“This is so that the vaccination programme will be a success.
“We have to take care of ourselves and protect ourselves as well as others.
“In the interest of the country and everyone, let’s register for the vaccination and receive the shot,” he stressed in the video.
