‘Melaka River Cruise management won’t protect wrongdoers’

MELAKA River Cruise says it has a zero tolerance policy towards any form of corruption.

Melaka River and Coastal Development Corporation (PPSPM) chief executive officer Datuk Murad Husin (pic) said they would not defend staff detained for any wrongdoing or misuse of power.

“I will not compromise on any malpractice as we want to be a leading tourism product in the state.

“I will not protect any of them, ” he said during his speech at the PPSPM anti-corruption programme at River Information Centre, Dataran Pengkalan Rama.

Melaka’s Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s (MACC) deputy director Ahmad Faizul Abdul Rashid was also present at the event.

Murad also told PPSPM staff they could report directly to MACC if they had any information on corrupt superiors or colleagues.

“PPSPM will not protect any wrongdoers in our organisation regardless of their position or status, ” he said, while reminding the staff to provide efficient service.
