Group seeks more allowance

JOHOR BARU: The Malaysian Council of Former Elected Representatives (Mubarak) has requested for the monthly allowance for all 56 Johor state assemblymen to be raised from the current RM9,000 per month.

Its Johor president Datuk Abdullah Md Ali said this would automatically increase the allowances for all former elected representatives, depending on the duration of their term.
