Health, beauty care chain store launches film for Hari Raya

Watsons Malaysia’s star-studded Hari Raya Aidilfitri video reminds Malaysians that the bond between loved ones is stronger than the restrictions imposed to curb Covid-19.

WATSONS Malaysia has launched a digital film in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

The star-studded video titled “Jauh Di Mata, Tetap Beraya” is a reminder to all Malaysians that the bond between loved ones is stronger than the current restriction of movement.

The e-launch of the video via Watsons’ social media page and the main film has garnered one million views across its platforms.

Watsons Malaysia managing director Caryn Loh said the short film described how a family, especially the youngest child, coped with the current uncertainties faced by every Malaysian this Hari Raya.

“Watsons produced this short film to remind everyone that despite all the challenges, including staying far from loved ones, Raya can still be celebrated sincerely and wholeheartedly.

“Producing this short film was not as easy due to restrictions and limitations, but the outcome is what we are all anticipating, which is to send this message to everyone that all Malaysians can still celebrate Raya together no matter what happens,” she said.

The cast of the short film included Watsons Malaysia ambassadors Ayda Jebat and Jinnyboy, prominent celebrities such as Datuk Jalaluddin Hassan, Sean Lee, Nazrudin Rahman, Alyssa Dezek, Amber Chia, Yaya Zahir, Fiqrie and Nithya.

“I am delighted to continue my second Raya brand film with Watsons, and it has been a great experience shooting from the comfort of my own home. It has definitely been a different and memorable experience for me,” said Ayda.

“I am honoured to be included in Watsons Raya brand film this time around,” said Jalaluddin, a Watsons Celebrity Friend and one of Malaysia’s most prominent legendary artistes.

Watsons Malaysia customer director Danny Hoh thanked members and customers for believing in Watsons even during these trying times, by giving RM1mil duit raya to members.
