OCCUPANTS of housing and business premises owned by the government can look forward to better rental offers in Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya.
In a statement, Federal Territories Ministry Tan Sri Annuar Musa said in line with the latest stimulus package, Pakej Rangsangan Ekonomi Prihatin Rakyat (Prihatin) announced by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, the ministry would coordinate the initiatives under Wilayah Cakna to help the people cope during the Covid-19 outbreak.
It was reported that RM63.6mil had already been allocated under Wilayah Cakna.
He stated that exemption on People's Housing Projects and Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) Public Housing, as well as business premises under DBKL, Putrajaya Corporation and Labuan Corporation alone involved an additional cost of RM35.8mil.
"Prihatin helps those in the B40 and M40 group increase liquidity and purchasing power.
"For the economy to grow, the people need to have money in their pockets," he said.
