UCSI University and UCSI College will grant four scholarships under the UCSI-Dignity Education Fund to deserving students from the Dignity for Children Foundation (Dignity) for pre-university, diploma or degree studies.

The pledge was made at Dignity’s 6th Convocation for the Class of 2019 comprising secondary students.

Representing UCSI was its founder and chief executive officer Datuk Peter Ng while Dignity was represented by its co- founder Rev Elisha Satvinder.

“Education is a basic right regardless of one’s status. The scholarship and financial aid are provided under our UCSI University Trust, ” said Ng.

“Our vision is to continue to open doors to give deserving youths access to quality education. As an education entity, UCSI is committed to nurturing the youth of today to become the leaders of tomorrow.

“In partnering Dignity, UCSI is investing in the future of humanity as we seek to build character, expand knowledge, and instil skills among these promising individuals and positively transform their lives, ” he added.

Essentially, the initiative enables Dignity students to write the next chapter of their academic journey at UCSI.

Elisha said, “We are thankful to UCSI for its partnership, generosity and commitment to providing quality education to those keen to learn but are held back by financial difficulties and personal issues.”

The Class of 2019 saw 38 students successfully completing Dignity’s learner-centred approach to secondary education that includes vocational skills with the majority passing their O-level IGCSE subjects.
