34 to attend inter-faith conference in Taiwan

MEMBERS of the Tow Boh Keong temple in Ipoh have been invited to attend an inter-faith conference in Taiwan.

Temple adviser Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan (pic) said a delegation comprising 34 people would travel to Taiwan to attend the

conference on Dec 25.

“There will be more than 3,000 religious groups consisting of about 100,000 people from countries such as Brazil and the Philippines taking part.

“There will be sessions on universal values, promoting kindness, compassion and world peace.”

Ong said this would be the second time a delegation from the temple was taking part in the event.

“We sent 30 people last year and a Buddhist group from Penang also took part, ” he said.
