Trained to help the disabled

THE disabled will soon be able to hire personal assistants to help them live independently.

The first batch of 25 people started their training at Independent Living Centres (ILC) in Petaling Jaya and Bangi this month, run by Malaysia Independent Living Association For Disabled (Milad) and sponsored by People With Disabilities Development Unit (JPOKU) under the Welfare Department.
