Tourists join locals in celebrating Tamil harvest festival

THREE Japanese tourists had an eye-opening experience witnessing Ponggal celebrations for the first time while visiting Penang.

Nicole, 20, Anna and Chia, both 22, who are pursuing their studies in Singapore, were intrigued by the colourful Tamil harvest festival.
