Stop work order issued after contract rules breached

KOTA KINABALU: The contractor appointed to deepen rivers in Kota Belud to reduce floods as a result of sedimentation following the June 5, 2015, Mount Kinabalu quake has been asked to stop work.

The company was found to be breaching several contract rules while the sand dredging works are also attracting illegal sand miners.
