Siow (right) with MBSA officers discussing steps to clean up the clogged drains in Jalan Setia Indah X U13/X.

IRRESPONSIBLE restaurateurs are dumping used cooking oil and garbage down the drain, creating an unsightly situation in the backlanes of Jalan Setia Indah X U13/X Setia Alam in Shah Alam.

Emitting a foul stench, the drains are clogged with a thick layer of solidified oil that prevents water from flowing through the drains.
