The Melanau way to fish

The unjams are made of nipah palm fronds and will be dropped onto the seabed several days before the fishermen go out to fish.

MUKAH: The Melanau people are skilled fishermen since hundreds of years ago.

Even with the changing times, the majority of them today are coastal fishermen, whose livelihood still depend on the bounties of the South China Sea.
