TANAH Sutera Development Sdn Bhd, a company backed by a consortium of Malaysia and Singapore companies, owns a land bank covering an area well over 1,000 acres (404.7ha) located in the western corridor of the city of Johor Baru.

The land bank of the company is divided into two main areas, namely Taman Sutera and Taman Sutera Utama. Taman Sutera is strategically located directly across Sungai Skudai from the Tampoi Commercial Center while Taman Sutera Utama is nestled between Taman Perling in the south and Taman Ungku Tun Aminah in the north.
