Getting bored of your typical holiday photos? Try reframing your perspective to capture the more unique aspects of your travel destination.

Give “colour hunting” a shot. Once in a while, we get a social media trend that is actually fun and wholesome, and this is definitely one.

During your trip, you and your companions just have to assign each other a colour to focus on. Then photograph iconic buildings, signs or items that correspond to it.

If you’re doing this solo and you can only focus on one colour, that’s even more interesting.

Let’s say you’re in Tokyo, Japan, you can easily use red as your guide. You can take close-ups of the mailboxes, wide shots of torii gates and various shots of the Tokyo Tower.

If you’re visiting Bangkok, Thailand yet again (admit it, you’ve been multiple times – it is the world’s most visited city in 2025 after all), this time use yellow as your theme.

Take photos of the popular mango sticky rice, the national flower Cassia fistula and the intricately adorned temples like Wat Phra Kaew and Wat Saket (gold is just shiny yellow, right?).

Which colour do you think best represent your favourite travel destination?
