BTS proves its fashion influence remains strong on the Arirang World Tour

K-pop’s fashion influence continues to command global attention, as seen in the looks worn by BTS members on their current tour.

They were all dressed in luxury labels, wearing custom-made looks created specifically for the stage.

Their Arirang wardrobe is a reminder that, even as the tour continues, BTS still has few equals when it comes to commanding fashion’s attention.

Jimin, for example, stood out in Dior, wearing looks that brought the house’s polished tailoring and distinctive code to the stage.

J-Hope repped Louis Vuitton, bringing the label’s sharp tailoring and contemporary approach to menswear into the performance setting. V, meanwhile, channelled Celine’s sleek, rock- influenced aesthetic.

Suga took a more understated approach in Givenchy, with the house’s refined tailoring and pared-back sophistication complementing his quieter stage presence.

RM and Jin both turned to Gucci, each putting his own spin on the Italian house’s eclectic take on luxury. The former leaned into the label’s more directional, contemporary code, while the latter brought a polished ease to his looks.

Jung Kook rounded out the line-up in Balenciaga, whose bold, modern silhouettes suited his stage presence.

K-pop stars first caught the attention of luxury fashion houses in the 2010s, but that relationship accelerated dramatically in the decade that followed.

Soon, it was hard to miss South Korea’s biggest celebrities at fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris, where their presence became almost as anticipated as the collections themselves.

The spectacle grew to such an extent that fans began crowding the outsides of show venues to catch a glimpse of their favourites, turning fashion week arrivals into a frenzy of flashing cameras and relentless social media coverage.

But K-pop’s once seemingly unstoppable fashion dominance has faced growing competition from other Asian stars, including Thai actors and singers, raising questions over whether South Korea’s Hallyu export could eventually lose some of its global momentum.

BTS, however, appears to be making a case for the opposite.

Even as the fashion landscape around K-pop has become more crowded, the group continues to command the attention of luxury houses – and, as its latest tour wardrobe shows, remains capable of turning the stage into one of fashion’s most closely watched runways.

Each of the members still holds an ambassador role with a major luxury house, underscoring how deeply the relationship between BTS and fashion has become entrenched.

RM is a global brand ambassador for Bottega Veneta, while Jin represents Gucci and Fred. Suga is a global brand ambassador for Valentino, and J-Hope is a global house ambassador for Louis Vuitton.

Jimin is a global ambassador for Dior and Tiffany & Co, while V represents Celine and Cartier as a global ambassador.

Jung Kook, meanwhile, is a global ambassador for Calvin Klein and represents Chanel in beauty and fragrance.

But those affiliations do not necessarily dictate what the members wear.

Their tour wardrobe shows a willingness to sometimes move between houses, with the members wearing labels beyond those they officially represent.

It points to something bigger than celebrity endorsements.

BTS, alongside other prominent South Korean names such as the members of Blackpink, helped shift the role of the K-pop star in fashion from front-row attraction to genuine luxury tastemaker – and the group’s latest stage appearances suggest that the influence remains very much intact.
