A sense of adventure and the marvel of precision watchmaking come together at the opening of Kuala Lumpur’s newest Breitling boutique at The Gardens mall.

The Swiss luxury watchmaker’s fourth Malaysian boutique clocks a good start with a lion dance performed in Breitling’s iconic colours of blue and yellow.

Alongside the city’s horology experts are guests-of-honour ambassador-designate of Switzerland to Malaysia Chantal Moser, Breitling Asia president Alvin Soon, Breitling South-East Asia regional commercial director Travis Gan, The Hour Glass (THG) group general manager Norman Ho and The Hour Glass general manager Teh Soon Kheng.

Speaking candidly to guests at the event, Soon shares that the boutique’s opening is all the more special as it is being held in conjunction with the 142nd anniversary of the brand’s formation.

“It is super exciting for us to launch this boutique which is the first among our global expansion events in 2026.

“Also, we are happy to announce Breitling’s first partnership with the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One team.

Sharing her honest impression of the historical horologist is Moser, who says that she has always associated the company with its longtime support of aviation adventurers.

“I think Breitling is also a representation of innovation, adventure, risk-taking and exploration – values that I like very much,” she adds.

Indeed, the watches in the 30sqm boutique are surrounded by brickwork and lightbox visuals, bringing to mind the resilience and excellence of a company that has been bold enough to stress-test its innovations since its founding in 1884.

On display is the full range of Breitling’s creations, against a striking three-panel yellow backdrop bearing Breitling’s signature blue “B” logo.

In the exterior glass areas are timepieces from the Superocean Heritage, a recent collection that has drawn global praise.

Guests are also treated to exclusive views of latest models, including the Zodiac Timepiece commemorating the Year of the Horse, the Top Time B01 Shadow Rider and the Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 Malaysia Edition, of which only 68 pieces are available in Malaysia.

The new Breitling boutique is located at Lot F-203A, First Floor, The Gardens, Kuala Lumpur.
