The recent round of fashion weeks in the industry’s big four cities – New York, London, Milan and Paris – may not have been triumphs across the board, but the star-studded front rows delivered a spectacle of their own.

Celebrities still turned out in exemplary style and presence across the shows.

At Michael Kors’ New York Fashion Week show, it was the who’s who of film and music gathered under one roof.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Olivia Wilde, Jane Krakowski, Audra McDonald and Leslie Bibb were spotted among the famous faces making an appearance.

In London, H&M and Burberry proved to be a big draw.

The former returned to the runway for the first time in seven years, while the latter, the headline act, carried much of the week’s weight on its shoulders.

The spotlight turned to fashion’s most stylish men, with Jonathan Bailey fronting Burberry and Mew Suppasit drawing crowds at H&M.

Over in Milan, a multitude of Asian stars became the focus.

Hael Hussaini turned heads at the Onitsuka Tiger runway event, Zhang Ziyi posed for photographers at Giorgio Armani’s grand show, and Bang Chan made Fendi the talk of the moment.

Paris Fashion Week was, of course, buzzing. Many of the major fashion houses unveiled collections under new creative heads, injecting both anticipation and scrutiny into the season’s most-watched runways.

This meant that invitations were especially scarce, a point not lost on industry insiders who lamented the lack of space this season.

Big stars, however, had no such trouble – with Zendaya at Louis Vuitton, Anya Taylor-Joy at Dior, and Charli XCX at Saint Laurent, all arriving with beaming smiles.

A point to note is that the celebrity attendance is more diverse than ever, with global stars from Hollywood, Asia and beyond bringing fresh energy and wider appeal to fashion calendar of those cities.

Both the fashion weeks in New York and London have been plagued with doubts about their future and relevance, as dwindling marquee names and shifting industry attention cast uncertainty over their staying power.

By contrast, Milan and Paris continue to dominate the conversation.

Milan has been buoyed by powerhouse Italian labels that consistently deliver spectacle, while Paris still retained its status as the industry’s undisputed stage for the season’s most pivotal debuts.

Yet across all four cities, one constant remained: the star power of celebrities in the front row, whose presence kept the spotlight burning as brightly as ever.
