Awards shows and other big events are no longer just a playground for actors and singers. Fashion models are becoming the centre of attention there too.
Recently, some of the world’s most famous runway stars have been spotted showing off their best poses on the red carpet.
The AmfAR Gala (which takes place during the Cannes Film Festival) draws in models, as its highlight is a fashion show.
Also, you have designers making a move into production – for example, Saint Laurent Productions, founded last year and helmed by creative director Anthony Vaccarello, is premiering three films this year at the festival.

Since they are already there, models will then take the opportunity to attend some of the other events and parties.
Cindy Bruna was spotted at the Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga premiere in Cannes last week, while Bella Hadid and Winnie Harlow took time to appear at The Apprentice premiere.
The Met Gala, which is pretty much a red carpet runway of sorts, will always have a long list of fashion models as guests.
Earlier this month, runway legend Linda Evangelista made a rare appearance to walk the Met Gala red carpet.
Kendall Jenner was also there. She is among the charity event’s regular attendees each year.
As for premieres or awards ceremonies, you will find spot models preening for the cameras. It is like second nature to them – being so at ease amid flashing lights.

If they are not at the main event itself, the after-parties are among the regular jaunts for these famous faces. Irina Shayk was among the bold and beautiful attendees of the 2024 Oscars Party.
These all show that the fashion and entertainment industries are becoming more intertwined than ever.
If showbiz has no qualms turning red carpet events into a giant runway show, then it is only natural that models are conquering such events.
