It is often believed that only physical contact with an animal can soothe us. This deeply rooted conviction suggests that nothing can replace the warmth of a wet nose to relieve everyday stress.

However, a Canadian study published in the journal Human-Animal Interactions challenges this belief by showing that simply watching videos of dogs can be enough to trigger the same therapeutic benefits.
