My uncle has been suffering breathlessness for some time now. He finally went to see a doctor, and they heard a murmur in his heart using a stethoscope. He was then referred to a cardiologist who carried out some tests. He was told that he had heart valve disease. What is this?
The heart is generally the size of a fist. It contains four chambers – two atria (upper chambers) and two ventricles (lower chambers).
