This bronze statue in Jeevanjee Gardens, in Nairobi, Kenya, stands as a tribute to the park's founder Alibhai Mulla Jeevanjee (1856–1936), an Indian merchant, politician and philanthropist who played a large role in the development of modern day Kenya during colonial rule. In 1904, he began developing the park, donating it to the people of Nairobi two years later. Locals go to the park to relax and also to debate local issues at the People's Parliament.
