Nearly a billion people were living with a mental health disorder in 2019, according to data shared by the World Health Organization (WHO).

And that figure hasn’t ceased to rise since the Covid-19 pandemic, with the United Nations health agency reporting a 25% increase in the frequency of depression and anxiety in the first year of the pandemic.
