What used to be a street filled with pre-war colonial buildings, Changkat Bukit Bintang now houses some of the most hip restaurants and clubs one can find in Kuala Lumpur. But amidst the dazzling lights and loud music, stands a restaurant which has been serving authentic Thai food for the past decade. Two words come to mind: Baan 26.

Opening its doors even before Changkat was considered trendy back in 2006, the owner Chai Kah Fei confessed that the first two years was pure struggle.
