Donnie Yen turned 63 on Monday (July 27) and his legion of fans had a treat for him.
Devoted fans bought a space on an LED billboard in Mongkok, Hong Kong to celebrate the international star’s body of work.
The visuals on the billboard features stills from Yen’s extensive filmography including the Ip Man franchise, Hero, SPL: Sha Po Lang and even his Hollywood outing such as John Wick: Chapter 4.
This public display of support didn’t go unnoticed by Yen who dropped by the area to enjoy the visuals.
“I just wanna show appreciation to my fans (who) bought this LED panel to celebrate today. Thank you so much for all your love,” Yen said in a video filmed by his daughter Jasmine and posted on the actor's social media account.
Jasmine also took to Instagram to share a throwback photo of herself as a toddler in Yen’s arms. She captioned it: “Happy birthday to the best baba.”
