Mercurial actor Shia LaBeouf was filmed in an Italian hotel lobby trying to cop a light wearing only his underpants.

“Come on bro, give me a f—ing match,” he asks a desk clerk. “You got a match?”

A woman near the Transformers actor awkwardly slips away as others watch him try to find a light for the cigarette dangling from his mouth in the video posted by TMZ Tuesday.

LaBeouf was ordered to undergo substance abuse treatment in New Orleans following a couple of incidents in the Big Easy, including a street fight.

A court allowed the 39-year-old actor to leave Louisiana to attend his father’s baptism in Rome, according to the Guardian.

The Los Angeles native’s history of erratic behaviour includes a 2014 outburst in Manhattan during a Roundabout Theatre performance of Cabaret.

He pleaded to a disorderly conduct violation and agreed to three months of substance abuse treatment at The Hills Treatment Center in Los Angeles.

TMZ didn’t say whether LaBeouf was intoxicated when he went searching for a match half-naked in Rome. The very short video posted online didn’t show him in possession of alcohol. It’s not clear when the lobby incident occurred.

LaBeouf’s estranged wife, Mia Goth, reportedly wants the father of the couple’s three-year-old daughter to seek help for his alleged substance abuse issues. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
