HK superstar Donnie Yen shares rare photos with son for latter's 18th birthday

Hong Kong actor Donnie Yen recently marked the 18th birthday of his youngest son James.

In an Instagram post on Monday (Dec 15), Yen, 62, uploaded a carousel of photos with James,

Among them was a throwback image of the father and son in matching tuxedos, alongside a snapshot of the duo recreating the same stylish ensemble years later.

The action star also took fans on a journey through James's growth, sharing adorable images from his toddler years to the young man he has become today.

"Watching you grow has been the greatest joy of our lives, and we love you so much! Go shine, my son," he captioned his post.

Many netizens have left comments wishing James a happy birthday, while others praised him for inheriting his parents' good looks.

Some also noted that James appeared to be slightly taller than his father now.

"Happy birthday to little Ip Man," one person commented.

Another wrote: "This family has very strong genes. Everyone looks so good!"

For the record, Yen also shares a 21-year-old daughter Jasmine with his wife, Hong Kong model Cissy Wang, whom he married in 2003.

He has another 30-year-old son Jeff from his previous marriage to advertising executive Leung Zing-ci, which lasted from 1993 to 1994.
