Local band Jazz Collective is set to enchant audiences with a charity show on Dec 28 at the Bats Restaurant and Bar at Sunway Giza Mall in Petaling Jaya.

The event aims to raise funds for MyStarfish, an organisation dedicated to supporting children with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

The non-profit organisation is also working towards establishing a paediatric centre, which will be the first of its kind to be linked to a Malaysian government hospital (University Malaya Medical Centre).

Scheduled to start at 7pm, the charity show will see the Jazz Collective delivering an energetic setlist featuring jazz pieces, festive tunes and famous melodies.

The six-piece ensemble will be performing alongside five guest singers – namely Caitlin Teong, Maya Hoh, Paxton Nyeo, Ryan Caceres and Loh Shyen Yii.

Jazz Collective features Abeer Kumar (drums), Elijah Chew (bass guitar), Gisselle Caceres (trumpet), Loh Jern Huang (keys), Simon Qi Xin (clarinet) and Scott Chang (saxophone).

The band began jamming together at the age of 12 and has remained together ever since.

Seats for the Jazz Collective & Friends Charity Night can be secured with a minimum donation of RM35 per person via https://mystarfish.org.my/donate.
