Billions star Asia Kate Dillon is looking for hospitality industry work to pay the bills.
The nonbinary actor, who appeared on more than 70 episodes of the hit Showtime series about high-rolling investors from 2017 to 2023, posted a cover letter of sorts on Instagram on Oct 20.
It says that, after 11 years of making a living in show business, the 41-year-old is looking to return to the service industry.
“Now, like for many, many performer colleagues of mine – particularly those of us who are trans/nonbinary/gender nonconforming – acting work has all but diminished, and I’m in need of service work once more,” Dillon wrote.
Dillon also appeared on Netflix’s Orange Is The New Black in 2016 and 2017 in addition to playing a significant role in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. The star's last credit was for the 2025 film Outerlands.
Dillon’s resume states that the first food service job was in 2000 at the age of 15 in upstate New York. That gig included maintaining a coffee station, restocking the restroom and mopping up spills.
“I loved it,” Dillon wrote.
Dillon balanced food services work and acting until 2015 when the latter became a priority. Now Dillon plans to transition back to working with the public, claiming to “love customer service” and appearing ready to start right away.
“I’m available for part time, night and weekend work,” Dillon offered.
A publicist who worked with Dillon said the post is legitimate, but that he isn’t currently representing the Ithaca native, who studied theatre at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
