Singaporean actor Benjamin Heng has found love again, marrying his Japanese partner Nana Ishibashi at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore on Nov 8.

The 49-year-old’s first wife Michelle Ng died in her sleep at the age of 43 in June 2019. They have a daughter, who is now 16.

The wedding was attended by Chinese-American actor-host Allan Wu and celebrities like actress Rebecca Lim, actor Maxi Lim and actor-host Alaric Tay, according to photos uploaded by Wu on social media on Nov 9.

“The knot is tied,” Wu wrote. “What a fun time last night catching up with old friends and watching these two making it official. Huge congrats to Benjamin and Nana and wishing you many years of joy and happiness together.”

According to a video uploaded to Heng’s Facebook account, he performed American singer Frankie Valli’s hit song Can’t Take My Eyes Off You (1967) at the ceremony.

Heng, who is also a realtor, registered his marriage with Ishibashi on May 17.

He posted a photo of them holding a marriage certificate on social media that day, writing: “Today, we exchanged vows to become one Mr & Mrs Heng.”

He first found fame in Singaporean film-maker Kelvin Tong’s romantic drama Eating Air (1999).
