Retired Hong Kong actress Esther Kwan may have stepped away from the spotlight, but her star power clearly endures.

Since leaving showbiz in 2008, the 61-year-old has rarely attended public events.

That's why her fan meet on Nov 8 was such a major draw.

Kwan shared that holding this event was especially meaningful to her, as she had promised to do so 20 years ago.

Photos from that day showed her in a white dress, paired with a matching shawl and heels. Her hair was styled in a messy bun, creating an effortlessly elegant look.

According to reports, the former TVB star happily took photos with fans and even shared hugs.

One fan revealed that a letter they had sent her in the past had received a personal reply.

While attendees were asked not to bring gifts, some decided to do so anyway, and Kwan graciously accepted them.

"See you again in 10 years," she said.

Many netizens couldn't help but be amazed at how Kwan has maintained most of her youthful looks and charm well into her 60s.

"After all these years, she's still so beautiful. Nick Cheung is a lucky guy," one person commented.

Another said: "She has been retired for so many years but still looks the same."

"Ageless goddess," added a third.

Kwan married actor Nick Cheung, 60, in 2003, and the couple welcomed their daughter Brittany in 2006.

She's known for her performance in the 1997 drama Lady Flower Fist, which won her the TVB Anniversary Award for Best Actress.

In 2008, Kwan left acting to spend more time with her daughter. Her last reported work was the 2013 TVB romance drama Always And Ever.
