Hong Kong actor Francis Ng recently shared a lighthearted encounter he had with a bus driver while travelling around the city.

In a Weibo post on Tuesday (Nov 4), the 63-year-old revealed that he was almost kicked off the bus when he used a senior citizen discount.

The reason? Ng looked far younger than his age.

"After I tapped my card, the driver got annoyed and nearly kicked me off the bus! I explained that I didn't do it on purpose. I was just born this way," he wrote in the caption.

Ng added that he eventually had to show his identification card to clear up the misunderstanding.

His post was accompanied by three selfies taken on the bus, where he appeared casual in a black bucket hat and white jumper – looking noticeably younger than his age.

Many netizens were amused by the incident and left comments expressing their laughter, while others praised the actor for barely ageing since his heydays.

"He looks like he's in his 40s at most," one fan commented.

Another joked: "You should wear an old man's shirt next time. You're dressed too young for your age, though you look young either way."

"When you look like this, I'd be suspicious too if I was the bus driver," wrote a third.

According to Sin Chew Daily, this isn't the first time Ng's age has been called into question.

While filming a public service announcement about priority seats in the past, he was scolded by a passenger for sitting in one.

It wasn't until Ng produced his identification card that the passenger exclaimed in surprise, "You're over 60!"
