Former HK actress Michele Reis shares photo of hubby celebrating her birthday

Former Hong Kong actress Michele Reis, who turned 54 on June 20, shared a rare photo of her husband, Hong Kong businessman Julian Hui, celebrating her birthday.

She posted the picture on Chinese social media platform Weibo on June 20, with the caption: “Thank you to everyone who thinks of me on 620.”

She reposted on Instagram Stories several photos of her birthday celebrations. In one photo, she was also celebrating the birthday of one of her good friends. The name “Jini” was on one of the three birthday cakes.

Reis had on June 14 also shared photos of her elder sister and friends celebrating her birthday.

Reis, who is of Portuguese-Chinese parentage, was the winner of the Miss Hong Kong Pageant and the inaugural Miss Chinese International Pageant in 1988.

She joined Hong Kong broadcaster TVB soon after and is known for starring in television series The Legendary Ranger (1993) with Hong Kong singer-actor Leon Lai and singer-actress Faye Wong.

Reis’ credits also include movies such as The Wicked City (1992), Fallen Angels (1995) and Flowers Of Shanghai (1998).

She left the industry after marrying Hui, now 62, in 2008. They have a 13-year-old son, Jayden. – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
