TVB actress Samantha Ko made headlines in March when she joined fellow Hong Kong stars Charlene Choi, Gillian Chung and Joey Yung to film the second season of Girls' Spectacular Journey in Penang.

While the travel reality show allowed Ko to experience the beauty of Penang, it also gave her the opportunity to fulfill one of her wishes.

"I've always wanted to help my parents retake their wedding photos. This little wish has finally come true.

"Thanks to (producer) Mani for inviting us to shoot Girls' Spectacular Journey 2, giving me the opportunity to make this beautiful thing happen," the 37-year-old said in an Instagram post on June 5.

Ko's post featured 10 photos of her parents posing together in wedding outfits.

Her mum wore a white gown with a matching veil, while her dad donned a white tee, black blazer and slacks.

China Press reported that the photos were taken at Chew Jetty in George Town.

In her post, Ko thanked Choi, Chung and Yung for not only helping her mum with the makeup but also teaching her parents how to pose.

The Hong Kong star also gushed over the unconditional and heartwarming love between her parents.

"It seems like the saying 'couples look alike' is true. Otherwise, I can't explain how their expressions are so perfectly in sync.

"The most heartwarming love is just like this. Staying together through thick and thin, holding on to each other, step by step, hand in hand, until a lifetime has passed without noticing.

"I hope we can all find our soulmate," she wrote.

Ko visited Penang for the first time in December 2022 while shooting the Hong Kong film Lock War.

The actress told China Press at the time that she was interested in buying a property there as the state gave her "many good memories".
