Malaysian actor Sabri Yunus is tired of the unfounded rumours circulating about his wife, actress Angeline Tan, expecting a child.

Just recently, a post claiming Tan, 57, was one month into her pregnancy went viral on Facebook, TikTok and other social media platforms.

In a Facebook post on Thursday (April 18), Sabri, 62, called the claims "slanderous" and slammed everyone who took part in creating and spreading the rumour.

“This is the funniest day in the last six months. The funniest slander went viral today.

“To whoever started this, don’t you feel guilty or sinful? And to those who were celebrating and spreading the story, don’t you feel the same?” he wrote.

Sabri added that the rumours have disrupted his daily activities as he had to take time to answer questions from various sides.

“It’s tiring to explain to friends who keep asking about it. Some may say it’s fine because it’s good news but to me, (lies) are slander,” he said.

Tan has also broken her silence on the matter.

As quoted in a report from Berita Harian, the actress said: “It’s fake news. I have no idea who created it.”

Tan, who has now taken on the name Ardini, married Sabri in Perlis on Oct 14 last year.

The couple got to know each other in the 1990s through many collaborations including the popular sitcom Pi Mai Pi Mai Tang Tu.

Sabri has three children from his first marriage to Norraya Mohd Yusof, who died of cancer in 2007. Tan has two children from her previous marriage.
