It has been more than a month since Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza held the Sebuah Epitome: Saya Siti Nurhaliza concert.

Hence, the 45-year-old was surprised when a behind-the-scene clip from that March event went viral on social media recently, leading to misunderstandings among netizens.

The shared video showed a somewhat tense situation backstage and Siti's facial expression was said to be very firm while communicating with a technical staff.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday (April 16), the singer wrote: “I never expected the backstage moment from my concert to receive attention and become news.

“Some said I was angry (based on my reaction and facial expression in the video without sound).

"...That was just my nervous or anxious expression."

Apparently, her ear monitor wasn't turned and this glitch happened just seconds before she was set to make her stage entrance.

"Ear monitors are very important for a singer to hear their voice and the music," she said.

The hitmaker explained all this in the caption, accompanied by a video showing her backstage at that moment. The video Siti uploaded, however, has audio.

She further stated that she acted professionally to ensure the concert ran without a hitch.

"I uploaded the actual video to stop any more speculation.

"I wasn't angry at all, that tone of voice was me making sure the ear monitor was turned on quickly and walking professionally to the front of the stage, continuing to entertain and engage the audience," she said.

The Purnama Merindu singer went on to say that every performance or concert she does has its own challenges and experiences. It is up to the performer “to be efficient and quick to handle any problems”.

She started by stating: "There are 1,001 stories that happen backstage. Only those who work there know every moment require them to give their best, to chase time, to ensure everything is on time, and of course, all technical matters run smoothly."

Next up, the celebrated artiste is set to perform at the Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting on Aug 10.

Tickets for the Siti Nurhaliza Love Is In The Sky are priced between RM688 and RM248, and will go on sale on April 25 at noon. There will be an additional processing fee of RM4.
