Someone give Kelvin Tan the boss of the year award already.

The Singaporean comedian and content creator, who is popularly known as Mayiduo, made news recently when he posted on social media that he rewarded seven of his staff Rolex watches amounting to S$150,000 (RM530,000)

The seven lucky staff are the top performers at SG Interior KJ, Mayiduo's interior design firm.

"In this current age and time, if you are a boss who keeps all the profits for yourself, you will never go far. Take care your team and your team will automatically take care of your business," Mayiduo said on his Instagram post on Jan 29. The post was accompanied with a video of him taking the lucky seven to pick their Rolex of choice.

"In year 2024, our company @sginteriorkj is fortunate enough to be able to reward our guys with a total of 7 rolexes this year, amounting to S$150,000. This is not a small sum of money to a SME like ours, but we believe in rewarding and sharing the profits with our people as a recognition of their hard work and contribution," the 31-year-old said.

He also told a Singapore entertainment portal that the reason he gifted Rolex watches to the top achievers is because they are “more meaningful than simply giving out cash”.

Mayiduo, who own several business ventures, told 8days: “One of the reasons we decided to gift everyone a watch is so that when they wear it, they will remember what they went through to achieve the Rolex."

Mayiduo also got himself a Rolex for his hard work. “I should also reward myself one, right?” he said with a grin in the Instagram video.
