Entrepreneur Mario Ho, son of late Macau gambling king Stanley Ho, and Chinese supermodel Ming Xi held a traditional Chinese tea ceremony in Macau on Sept 28.
The couple's two children also took part in the occasion.
During the ceremony, Mario Ho’s mother, Angela Leong On Kei, presented Xi with 22 gold bangles as a wedding gift.
She also gave her daughter-in-law a pearl necklace that Stanley had previously given her as a keepsake of their relationship.
Xi, 37, later shared two photos from the ceremony on her Instagram Stories.
In the photos, 18 of the bangles were arranged around her neck, while the remaining four were worn on her wrists.
According to Hong Kong's Oriental Daily News, the 22 gold bangles have a combined estimated value of nearly HK$3.51mil (RM1.8mil).
The report also noted that Xi's traditional Chinese wedding gown was entirely handmade and took about 3,600 hours to complete.
It's understood that the tea ceremony was held on the same day as the couple's wedding reception in Macau, which they organised for friends and relatives who were unable to attend their earlier reception in France in June.
Ho, 31, and Xi began dating in 2017 after meeting on the Chinese reality dating show Mr Left Mr Right.
In May 2019, Ho proposed to Xi with a Super Mario-themed celebration in Shanghai featuring 99,999 roses. The couple registered their marriage about two months later.
