Congratulations to singer Shila Amzah and social media personality Muhammad Ubaidillah Mohd Zulkefli who tied the knot on Aug 5.

The solemnisation was held at The Boathouse Ampang in Kuala Lumpur where the pair was married by Shila's father, Datuk Amir Amzah, better known as ND Lala. It was attended by 250 guests, from family members to celebrity friends such as Marsha Milan, Amylea Azizan and Jaclyn Victor.

Shila, whose real name is Nurshahila Amir Amzah, received a dowry of RM20,000, while the amount for bridal gifts was not revealed.

"Alhamduillah, praise be to Allah for granting us a smooth ceremony," Shila, 32, told Malaysian media. "My hope is that both of us can navigate this marriage with love for each other," she added.

This is Shila's second marriage. She was married to Haris Idraki Elias in 2018 and divorced in February last year. They have a son together, Seth Uwais, four.

Meanwhile, Ubai said that he is ready to take on the responsibilities as a husband and a father.

"God willing, I am ready and will be the best husband and father for Shila and Seth," the 25-year-old said.

Ubai added that he will not stand in the way of Shila's career as a singer after marriage. Shila has expressed interest in returning to China to further develop her career there.

"I have never questioned or stopped Shila from expanding her singing career because I know that it is her profession. Whatever makes her happy, go ahead. She, too, does not stand in the way of my career," Ubai told mStar, The Star's Malay-language publication.
