Two months have passed since the death of Taiwan-based Malaysian singer Eison Chai, who fell from the seventh floor of a building. His body was found near an exit of a MRT station in Taiwan.

The 40-year-old was said to be in a depressed mental state prior to his death, and it was believed he died by suicide although there was no suicide note at the scene.

Now comes a report that contractors are not willing to work on the damage to the building's structure that occurred due to Chai's fall.

The rumour is, contractors have turned down the job although they were offered a much higher pay, according to a Singaporean entertainment portal.

It further outlined that some people who live in the building have "reportedly suffered from dizziness and discomfort" after the incident.

The vibes felt by the residents and the contractors' reluctance may be due to some "forces still lingering" at the location, theorised Taiwan fengshui master Hsieh Yuan Chin.

Appearing on a talkshow, Hsieh reportedly said that "when a deceased has too much resentment, it can cause people to be hurt by the spirit."

To ensure the spirit finds peace, Hsieh suggested performing rituals which would also put the residents' mind at ease, he said.

Chai found fame in Taiwan after winning the second season of Taiwanese talent show Super Idol in 2008.

In 2010 he released a solo album and had even starred in a few Taiwanese TV drama. Some years later, he ventured into the restaurant business, but apparently it incurred a massive loss.

It's reported that Chai was set to return to Malaysia with wife, Taiwanese actress Hitomi Wang, in September. They got married in 2020, and had wanted to hold a wedding banquet in Malaysia and visit Chai's parents.
