Korean actress Seo Ye-ji started shooting the K-drama Eve’s Scandal on Wednesday (Nov 24), said a Korean news portal.

She stars alongside actors Park Byung-eun, Yoo Sun and Lee Sang-yeob in the new series that began filming on Nov 21 and is set to premiere in the first half of 2022.

This is Seo’s first acting gig since she was accused of gaslighting her then boyfriend, Kim Jung-hyun, into acting unprofessionally on the set of his drama in 2018.

The controversy broke some time in April, and Seo stayed away from the limelight by dropping out from the K-drama Island as well as making appearances at press conferences and award ceremonies.

Her comeback drama Eve’s Scandal is written by Yoon Young-mi, who previously wrote The Good Witch and Birth Of The Beauty.

The story centres on an expensive divorce, involving a chaebol, a woman with a “fatal charm” (Seo), a human rights lawyer and the daughter of a powerful politician.
