Hafizul Kamal shared on Instagram on Monday (Oct 4) that he and his four-year-old daughter, Raisya Amanda, have tested positive for Covid-19.
According to the Paskal actor, he was feeling unwell for a few days already, and had lost his sense of smell. His temperature also reached a maximum of 39.2°C.
What was even more worrying to him was that his oldest daughter’s oxygen level began to fluctuate between 91% to 96%.
Suspecting it's not the common flu or fever, he went to visit the hospital along with his family to do a proper check-up. He got the result on Sunday.
Fortunately, his wife, Nurul Fariza, and youngest daughter, Sara Erina, tested negative.
The 36-year-old told mStar – The Star’s Malay-language portal – that he doesn’t know how they got infected as he makes sure to take every safety precaution when stepping out of the house.
“My fingers have become dry and the skins are cracked due to the amount of sanitiser I use,” said Hafiz, who’s in self-quarantine with his daughter in a room at his home.
Posting an update on Tuesday, the actor wrote: “Since yesterday, I got back maybe 10 to 15% of my sense of smell, but it went away again. Maybe in one or two days, I will totally lose my sense of smell.”
